Last season, Los Alamitos went about 10 deep and it had Landry Fields leading them but with him at Stanford now nobody thought the Griffins could win another southern section title. This season however, Los Alamitos proved everybody wrong especially on Saturday when it won it’s 21st-game in a row. ANAHEIM – With far less talent than they had a year a go the Los Alamitos boys basketball team accomplished something nobody they thought could, when they made history again Saturday night. Corbin Moore scored 27 point, Clint Amberry 20 points and Cameron Jones 16 to help the Griffins upset top-ranked Redondo 67-50 in the CIF Southern Section Division I A Championship game at the Honda Center. “This is great,” said Jones. “It was a hard fought win and nobody thought we could do it. We’ve been the underdog all year long, but tonight we pulled it through.” 160Want local news?Sign up for the Localist and stay informed Something went wrong.
