Donegal travel agency scoops best ‘Cruise Agency of Year’ award

first_imgA Co Donegal Travel Agency has scooped a major award at the annual Travel Centres Ireland Conference which was held in the Mullingar Park Hotel.Letterkenny’s Liberty Travel scooped the best ‘Cruise Agency of the year’.The awards are voted by cruise providers Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruise, Sunway Cruise, Thomson Cruise and MSC cruise. So it’s excellent to be recognised by these companies for the excellent work we do.The theme for the awards ceremony was ‘All things Irish’ to mark the anniversary of 1916.Carolyn Davis, Director of Liberty Travel told Donegal Daily, “Travel Centres Ireland is the largest consortium of independently owned, licensed and bonded travel agents with over 80 outlets located throughout the country.“I am delighted to be the recipient of Cruise agency of the year, it recognises the hard work and commitment of my outstanding team to become experts at what they do.’ “None of this would be possible without our fantastic customers, who continually place their trust in us year after year. Panama prosecutors request 21year spying sentence for expresident

first_imgPanamanian prosecutors demanded a 21-year sentence for spying against ex-President Ricardo Martinelli during an indictment hearing in the capital, Panama City.Martinelli, who was extradited back to Panama last month from self-imposed exile in the United States, is accused of “giving orders” to his Security Council to “illicitly intercept many citizens’ communications” between 2012 and 2014.The 66-year-old was detained a year ago in Miami after an international arrest warrant was issued against him. Panama accused him of graft and spying on his political foes, and submitted an extradition request to the United States.He is accused of intercepting emails, telephone calls, memory cards, phone books and audio recordings of confidential conversations.
