On charityopps.com it used to include a link to a traffic analysis report which was free to view. Unfortunately, the last stats for charityopps.com showed that it received an average of 261 visits a week and 574 page views a week. To be fair, this was down from a height of 3,400 or so visits for the month of January 2004. However, it is not clear if these figures exclude the activity of search engine bots and spiders, which very quickly boost traffic stats on a site. By Kay Valle/Diálogo November 23, 2020 Only days after supporting Central American countries, following the devastation caused by Hurricane Eta, teams of U.S. Southern Command’s (SOUTHCOM) Joint Task Force Bravo (JTF-Bravo) are back in Honduras and Guatemala to provide assistance to areas affected by Hurricane Iota. Both hurricanes hit Central America within two weeks, causing landslides and flooding that displaced entire communities and left dozens of people missing and dead.On November 18, the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) announced that it was allocating an additional $17 million in vital aid to the people who had been affected in Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua. The donation will provide food, hygiene supplies, critical relief items, and protection to the most vulnerable people.“Our team is ready to continue the fight,” U.S. Army Colonel John D. Litchfield, commander of JTF-Bravo, said in a statement. “We are proud to continue working with our partners and USAID to get supplies to those who need it most. Our hearts go out to everyone who has been affected by these storms.”Teams of the U.S. force will focus primarily on delivering humanitarian aid to hard-to-reach areas in the region, and will support search and rescue efforts, JTF-Bravo’s Public Affairs Office said in a statement.According to a report from the government of Honduras, six departments in the northwestern part of the country were hit by this latest hurricane, leaving more than 738,000 people affected and causing damage to homes, public infrastructure, and cultivated areas. In Guatemala, Army Colonel Rubén Antonio Téllez, press director for the Guatemalan Defense Ministry, told Diálogo that the rains from Iota once again affected areas prone to landslides in the departments of Alta Verapaz, Quiché, and Zacapa. The U.S. Embassy in Guatemala indicated on its Twitter account that two JTF-Bravo CH-47 Chinook helicopters had deployed “to work with @Army_GT [Guatemalan Army], bringing food and supplies to areas most affected by storm #Iota.”During its rescue and humanitarian support missions to communities affected by Eta in Honduras, Guatemala, and Panama, JTF-Bravo rescued 289 people and transported more than 171 metric tons of life-saving supplies, according to the force’s Public Affairs Office.“This result that we’ve had of support is thanks to that great collaboration and understanding with the [U.S.] Department of Defense and SOUTHCOM,” General (ret.) Fredy Santiago Díaz Zelaya, secretary of defense of Honduras, told Diálogo. “We are grateful to Admiral [Craig] Faller [commander of SOUTHCOM] for his great leadership and above all for being so attentive to Honduras, for his willingness, and great support.”

The former Manchester United and Juventus full-back was initially internally suspended by his club for the incident, which took place prior to kick-off in a Europa League clash against Vitoria. And just minutes after UEFA made public a season-long suspension for the player, Marseille in turn revealed his contract had been terminated “by mutual consent”. A Liverpool legend in the making: Behind Virgil van Dijk’s remarkable rise to world’s best player Citing his “impeccable behaviour” since joining the Ligue 1 side from Juve in January 2017, L’OM nevertheless recognised the “irreparable” damage that had been caused by Evra’s attack on a fan. Supporters’ indignation at the exuberant Evra came to a head at the weekend, when banners calling on him to “get out of the club” were shown at the Stade Velodrome ahead of a home clash with Caen. While his Marseille career may have come to an abrupt end, Evra’s UEFA ban will be in force at any European club that wishes to hire his services until June 30 2018. The player has also received a fine of €10,000 for his actions. Marseille and Vitoria were likewise sanctioned by the UEFA disciplinary committee, which released the findings of its investigation on Friday. The Ligue 1 club was hit with a €25,000 fine and ordered to settle with Vitoria over the damages caused by supporters, while the latter was fined €5,000 for a pitch invasion carried out by home fans. Evra, meanwhile, has so far remained defiant in the wake of scandal, thanking “real” Marseille supporters at the weekend for their support.

NEW DELHI: AAP’s East Delhi candidate Atishi again wrote to the Election Commission on Monday seeking registration of FIR against her BJP rival Gautam Gambhir over violation of Model Code of Conduct by distributing pamphlets without details such as printer’s name. She has also challenged Gambhir for an open debate on five points which are on the development of East Delhi.”What has BJP done for the East Delhi and they should also say their work on women safety,” said Atishi describing the first two points out of the five points. She also asked BJP to talk about their performance of the affordable housing scheme in East Delhi. “I want to ask Gambhir to please tell us why BJP did not work to stop sealing because traders were highly affected. Lastly, I want to ask him what did BJP do to stop garbage dumping at Ghazipur landfill site,” Also Read – Odd-Even: CM seeks transport dept’s views on exemption to women, two wheelers, CNG vehiclesasked Atishi. Last week, Atishi began facing diatribes allegedly involving her religion after she restored her surname Marlena in her affidavit and nomination paper to the Election Commission. She had dropped her surname last year, fearing its misuse by political adversaries. Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia came to the rescue of the AAP candidate amid the latest onslaught on her by former Okhla Congress MLA Asif Khan, who, in a message on social media, has been allegedly dubbing Atishi as a Jew and asking Muslims not to vote for her. “I am sad that the BJP and Congress together are spreading lies about the religion of our East Delhi candidate,” said Manish Sisodia in a tweet. On Sunday, Atishi had written to the EC seeking a 72-hour ban on campaigning for violating the model code of conduct for holding a rally without permission. On Monday, Atishi again wrote to the EC, saying he is distributing pamphlets without details such as printer’s name which is a violation of the model code of conduct.
Urban Meyer prepares to lead the Buckeyes out on to the field prior to the Ohio State-Iowa game on Nov. 4. Ohio State lost 55-24. Credit: Jack Westerheide | Photo EditorThe investigation into Ohio State head football coach Urban Meyer’s knowledge of domestic abuse allegations surrounding a former assistant coach will conclude on time, ending exactly on the 14-day deadline originally proposed by the university, Ohio State announced Friday. The statement went on to say that the investigators will “prepare a report for the working group to be delivered next week.” Once the independent group, chaired by former Ohio House Speaker Jo Ann Davidson, receives the report, they will present it to the Board of Trustees in an executive session to be held next week. University President Michael Drake will announce his decision for any response to the investigation “following deliberations with the board, and appropriate time for consideration.”The exact time and date of that meeting was not released in the statement, but the university is required by law to provide advance public notice of at least 24 hours. Drake told WOSU’s Ann Fisher on Thursday that the investigation would be “finished when it’s finished” without providing an idea of when that might be.Ohio State placed Meyer on paid administrative leave on Aug. 1 shortly after announcing it was going to examine if Meyer knew about and properly handled reports of domestic abuse from former wide receivers coach Zach Smith in 2015. Smith was fired on July 23 after his ex-wife, Courtney, filed a domestic violence civil protection order against him.Ohio State originally gave itself a 14-day deadline to complete the investigation on Aug. 5, which means the university will meet the deadline it self-imposed.The independent group has overseen the efforts of an investigative team led by former Chair of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission Mary Jo White, who also is the senior chair with the law firm Debevoise and Plimpton.

Tonight he did that brilliantly.”
