High Winds Cause Early Morning Power Outages

Facebook0TwitterEmailPrintFriendly分享Update – 7:30am Original Post – Currently Homer Electric Association is responding to a reported outage in the Scout Lake area affecting approximately 700 consumers. Crews have been dispatched. Cause is unknown at this time. As of 5:20 a.m.,  there are 196 consumer without power in Nikiski, another 35 in Soldotna, and 28 in Kenai. Strong winds throughout the Peninsula cause fallen trees, and power outages. CES and local fire departments have urged caution when traveling, and ask all residents to prepare for potential power outages as the strong winds continue.
